An air source heat pump is one of the appliances eligible for installation through the ComEd Whole Home Electric program.
CHICAGO (June 26, 2026) – The Caucus is assisting with ComEd’s Whole Home Electric program for single-family homes and multi-family properties. Are your income-eligible residents interested in upgrading their current heating/cooling systems in their homes to be fully electric? If so, they may qualify to upgrade the heating/cooling system at little to no cost through ComEd’s Whole Home Electric program.
The Whole Home Electric program:
- Provides new heating and cooling systems and appliances, in addition to weatherization services at no cost.
- Reduces overall energy costs, improves air quality, and lowers emissions.
After enrollment, residents’ homes will receive appliances such as an air source heat pump, heat pump water heaters, electric or induction stoves, and heat pump clothes dryers to replace old or inefficient equipment.
