Local governments need the flexibility to be able to conduct a remote meeting under certain conditions. With the shift to be more modern technology, this will allow for greater participation as well as more transparency in municipal government.
Caucus Position: The Metropolitan Mayors Caucus supports legislation aimed at permitting public officials to conduct remote meetings by allowing the chief elected or appointed official of a public body to determine if a remote meeting is in the best interest of the public or the public body.
