The Metropolitan Mayors Caucus invites your municipality to participate in its upcoming Housing and Community Development Committee meeting, focused on the Meeting the Missing Middle of Housing.
The “missing middle” includes many types of housing once prevalent in many communities. These include townhomes, duplexes, clusters of senior cottages, and even small apartment buildings. In recent decades, though, new construction has primarily occurred as either very large apartment buildings or single family homes.
Our Committee meeting includes a special guest from Opticos Design, Jennifer Settle, who will discuss how communities like ours have thought through this topic. We also have time for dialogue and we encourage you to participate to discuss the topic and identify any barriers to addressing this area of our housing supply
