Across the Chicago region, municipalities are taking steps to celebrate local diversity and advance equity and inclusion within their communities. These steps might include reviewing and revising internal policies and procedures that reinforce inequities within municipal operations; assessing social service gaps to ensure that vulnerable residents are receiving the support they need; or establishing a citizen commission to advise local actions related to equity and inclusion and improve relations with the community.

Many communities are engaging with consultants to help facilitate this work. To support these efforts, the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus is creating a Consultant and Facilitator Directory to act as a resource for communities looking to bring in external expertise. Individuals or organizations interested in being included in this directory can fill out this form.
